    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an entry-level Payroll Assistant to join a supportive and high-performing payroll team within a leading professional services environment.

    This role offers hands-on experience across a diverse client base, providing the chance to learn from experienced payroll professionals and build a strong foundation in payroll processing, compliance, and client support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with the preparation and processing of client payrolls
    • Ensure payroll data is accurate and submitted within deadlines
    • Maintain employee payroll records and support with payroll reconciliations
    • Respond to payroll queries and escalate issues where required
    • Support in the preparation of standard payroll reports
    • Learn to use payroll software and tools (e.g. Excel, Quantum/QPOSS)
    • Work closely with team members to deliver a high level of client service
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to internal controls and best practices
    • Keep up to date with payroll legislation and Revenue guidelines

    Skills & Experience

    • 0-2 years of experience in payroll, finance, or a related field (internship or part-time experience welcome)
    • Genuine interest in building a career in payroll
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
    • Professional and discreet when handling sensitive information

    Qualifications

    • IPASS qualification (or willingness to pursue) is an advantage but not essential
