This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join one of Ireland’s leading main contractors with multiple high profile projects in Cork
The main responsibilities include:
- Preparing and collating accurate, detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities
- Secure profitable work orders
- Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.
- Assist in the ongoing development of systems and procedures used in tendering
- Keep up to date with contractual changes and other developments in the construction industry
Requirements:
- 5-7 years experience in an estimator/QS based role
- Third level qualification in a Construction/Engineering related discipline
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS office suite and QS related software packages
- Ability to work well within a large team of PM’s, engineers and other estimators
