    Morgan McKinley is excited to be working with a leading tech company in County Galway that is gearing up for significant growth and expansion in 2026. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in manufacturing on an initial 6-month contract to support a critical transitional phase.

    This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can lead financial operations, drive system implementations, and provide strategic insight to support the company’s growth phase.

    Please note this is a fast-moving process, with interviews scheduled before Christmas and a planned start in January.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Establishing and maintaining financial policies, controls and accounting procedures
    • Implementing systems to track and value inventory, manage bills of materials (BOMs), and monitor direct labour costs accurately
    • Overseeing day-to-day accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
    • Managing month-end and year-end close activities efficiently
    • Analysing manufacturing variances and supporting cost-optimisation initiatives
    • Driving process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort
    • Preparing consolidated financial statements in line with relevant standards
    • Monitoring cash flow, working capital and treasury operations
    • Assisting with the selection and implementation of an ERP system integrating finance, supply chain, production, and quality management
    • Collaborating with IT, operations and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth ERP adoption and data integrity
    • Developing reporting dashboards and financial analytics within the ERP environment
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and industry regulations
    • Maintaining audit readiness and liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators
    • Designing cost accounting and inventory control frameworks suitable for a regulated manufacturing environment
    • Acting as a trusted partner to the leadership team by providing insights to support operational and investment decisions
    • Supporting pricing, product costing and margin improvement initiatives
    • Contributing to business planning, fundraising efforts, and investor reporting
    • Building and developing a high-performing finance team
