    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join a well-established company in Cork. This role is ideal for an organised and flexible individual who can work independently and contribute to the smooth running of the finance department.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Manage bank transactions by posting them on a regular basis.
    • Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger journals, and balance sheets.
    • Process and input purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Handle weekly EFT runs to pay suppliers.
    • Reconcile creditor accounts and prepare monthly Aged Creditors reports.
    • Process petty cash transactions.
    • Assist in preparing internal reports for management.
    • Report directly to the Managing Director.
    • Undertake general office and administrative tasks as required.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Demonstrated experience in a similar accounts or administrative role.
    • Excellent computer skills, with a strong proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Excel being highly desirable.
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Ability to work on your own initiative and manage tasks effectively.
    • A strong work ethic, flexible approach, and a positive, can-do attitude
