My client, a leading bed manufacturer, based in Dublin is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of their component sales and contract category across Ireland and UK. This is a pivotal role focused on winning and sustaining new business, ideal for a proactive ‘hunter’ profile with a passion for building strong customer relationships and driving commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow sales in the foam, semi-finished, and BIB component sectors.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, converting prospects into long-term customers.
Maintain and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, finance) to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
Potential involvement in contract category sales depending on business needs.
Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to the Sales and Marketing Director and wider business.
Skills and qualifications
Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within industrial components, materials, or manufacturing sectors.
Strong business development skills with a hunter mentality.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Skilled at managing day-to-day customer relationships.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Ability to travel widely and regularly across Ireland and the UK as required.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
