    About the Opportunity

    Morgan McKinley is proud to be partnering with a leading construction consultancy that is at the forefront of delivering critical public infrastructure projects in Ireland. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Engineer to take a lead role on two significant projects for a semi state orgaisation.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the development of state-of-the-art public buildings that will serve communities for generations to come.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of all civil engineering aspects of these projects, from design and planning to on-site execution and completion. Based across both project sites, you will be a key liaison for the client and a leader for all on-site civil works.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Leadership: Manage and oversee the civil engineering work
    • Technical Authority: Provide expert technical advice and guidance on all civil engineering elements, including foundations, structural stability, drainage, roadworks, and site services.
    • Design & Compliance: Review and approve civil engineering designs, ensuring full compliance with all relevant Irish and European standards and regulations.
    • Quality & Safety: Implement and monitor rigorous quality control and health & safety procedures on-site, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
    • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for the OPW, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and the client.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Essential: Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland is a mandatory requirement.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ post-chartership experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in building or public works projects in Ireland.
    • Proven experience in managing and delivering large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
    • Excellent knowledge of Irish building regulations, health & safety legislation, and environmental standards.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
    • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel
