My client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Architecting data models and data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Working with tools like Spark, Airflow, Kafka, and dbt to ensure high-quality data delivery.
- Collaborating across teams to define and implement best data practices.
- Monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting data systems for performance and reliability
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with SQL and relational/non-relational databases.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tools
